Top 15 Fonts

This is my first “top 10/15/20” posts. There are mainly free fonts, and only one pay font. If you didn’t know the abbreviations to the social networking links, here they are: TW means Twitter, FB means Facebook profile (or page), G+ means Google+.

1. Caviar Dreams

My comments: Very similar to Avant Garde, Champagne & Limousines, and Futura. Has the angled lower case letter e. Was also used in the “Uncles & Nieces” Tumblr page before I use my Tumblr as a personal blog.

Other information: Has four weights, the regular, bold, italic, and bold italic.

2. Electroharmonix

My comments: I remember this from one of Cartoon Network’s Samurai Jack online games (particularly the “LOADING” screen). Very Japanese.

3. Exo Typeface

My comments: I’ve watched the actual video, and wanting to get this font family, which it has 18 weights.

4. Gang of Three

My comments: Seen in the iPad/iPhone/Xbox 360 app game Fruit Ninja.

Other information: Vic updated the upper case T because it looked too much like an F (September 2008).

5. Permanent Marker

My comments: Wanted to imitate my handwriting by getting this font. I just wanted to write like that.

6. King Cool KC Pro

My comments: A nicely handwritten font that has a monoheight letter design, seen in SunChips’ ads (the slogan “CHANGE IS IRRESISTIBLE”).

7. VAL

My comments: Looks great to put photographs/drawings/screenshots in the lettering! Also available in the stencil version.

8. LT Chickenhawk

My comments: A slab serif font that is very similar to HappyPhantom and Cupid de Locke.

Other information: Use [ and ] to get hearts and the Ø to get the double exclamation point.

My comments: A (bark)’n font with a (sqeak)’n reveresed version. Great for titles and such.
